Allotments for Educational Expenses

Fairbanks BEST provides an annual allotment for education expenses associated with their student's individual learning plan. Students must be enrolled on or before October 1st to receive an allotment for the school year. 

How to Signup for Allotments: To receive an allotment a student must be enrolled in Fairbanks BEST Homeschool and have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that has been approved by the BEST Education Specialist before October 1st. To receive reimbursement of approved educational expenses, please complete and sign a copy of the Substitute W-9 Vendor Registration Form (found in Brightways under the Resource tab) on file with BEST.

Enrollment Deadline: Students must be enrolled and have an Individual Learning Plan by October 1st to receive an allotment for the 2023-2024 school year.

K-3                  $2,700

Preschool students receive a $250 Scholarship with an older sibling enrolled full-time at BEST (must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st).

Enroll in Brightways to create an account within the BEST record-keeping system.

A Brightways account will allow you to submit Individual Learning Plans and grades/progress reports to your BEST teacher.

Returning families must update their enrollment status for the new year.
