Field Trip: Basically Basil Farm
Friday, August 22, 1-3pm
Located at the intersection of Auburn Dr. and Herreid Rd., just pass Pearl Creek Elementary School. Bring your excitement, containers, and your appetite for fresh organic raspberries. This will be a wonderful, eventful, and tasteful day at the Basically Basil Farm. Note: raspberries are $4.00 per pound.
Field Trip: Fish Hatchery
Ruth Burnett Sport Fish Hatchery

Meet the BEST staff at the Sport Fish Hatchery for a view of the large sport fish stocking tanks. Students will learn the importance of fish hatcheries in today’s world. They will gain knowledge of Alaska Arctic Grayling, Rainbow Trout, King Salmon, and Coho species and their life cycles.
American Honey Queen Program
Monday, August 25 at 1pm
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity for your student to learn the types of honeybees in our world, the importance of pollination and the role of honeybees in the hive. The interactive presentation will allow students to explore the world of a honeybee!

Homeschool Allotment 2014-2015
Homeschool allotment is money that is set aside for your child's educational needs. The allotment amounts for school year 2014-2015 distributions are as follow; for grades K-2 $2,000, grade 3, $1,600, grades 4-8, $1,800, and grades 9-12, $2,000. Also, for grades 3-12, homeschool students can possible receive an additional $400 testing bonus.
